Lactose.help Info #1

Welcome to all lactose intolerant readers, and to all their close ones, to this first lactose.help newsletter!

Going forward, we will send you one email per month to share project news, upcoming events, practical tips, and the different ways you can support us.

First of all, thank you for being so many to follow us across our different channels. Your interest, your messages, and your feedback are a real encouragement to us.

1. Agenda

1 June: World Milk Day

That's right, let's make this day a celebration for lactose intolerant people too!

For the occasion, we are offering you one free month of subscription if you reply to this email with the subject "newsletter" before 2 June.

7 June 2026: Cheese and Dairy Products Fair in Paris

Gauthier will be at the fair to meet producers, labels, and contacts interested in the topic of lactose intolerance.

If you are there too, let us know by email!

2. Tip of the month

On the paid plans, we are convinced that the lactose intolerant person is not the only one who sometimes struggles to know which products can be consumed or not.

For their close ones, it is often even harder.

That is why you can, and we encourage you to do so, share your subscription for free with up to 5 close ones: friends, family, colleagues...

The goal is simple: to make your daily life a little easier.

3. We need your help

As you may already know, lactose.help is not only a mobile application.

The project rests on three complementary pillars:

  • The book, to understand lactose intolerance and find your way more easily;
  • The application, to make shopping in stores easier;
  • Social media, to share recipes, advice, tips, and tricks.

If you do not have the book yet, it will truly help you better understand lactose intolerance. The medical sections have been validated by certified dietitians.

The book is available here: https://book.lactose.help

The application is available here:

The book is self-published, which means we have to handle its visibility and promotion ourselves.

In today's digital world, reviews are essential to give the project visibility and credibility.

If you would like to help us, you can leave a review:

  • on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store for the application;
  • on Amazon.fr or Amazon.com.be for the book. Look for the "Write a customer review" page to leave a review.

Even if you did not buy the book directly on Amazon, you can leave a review if you have ordered on an Amazon site within the last 6 months.

It takes two minutes, and it helps us enormously.

4. Two ideas in the works

We are currently considering two new initiatives.

An in-store experience with the lactose.help app

Would you be interested in a real-world experience, in a large store in Brussels or Luxembourg, to test the lactose.help application and share your experience on our Instagram profile?

A workshop to make your own lactose-free products at home

Would a hands-on event, in Brussels, to learn how to prepare your own lactose-free alternatives appeal to you?

If either of these two ideas interests you, simply reply to this email. We will contact you to organise it.

5. Follow us on social media too

You can also follow lactose.help on:

Thank you

We read and reply to all your questions, ideas, and suggestions.

Your interest is the best thank-you for all the energy we have put into this project.

We wish you an excellent end of the week,

Olivier and Gauthier

PS: if you have any contacts who could help us make the project known, we are of course glad to hear from you.
