Since Lactose.help launched, the project has drawn attention from the press, from radio, and from the maker community. The common thread running through all of it is the same message that drives us: lactose intolerance does not mean deprivation. It is a matter of adaptation, knowing which products to eat, in what quantity and at what time, rather than simply cutting out dairy altogether.

In L'Avenir, journalist Caroline Desorbay traces Gauthier de Valensart's journey and his analysis of 7,000 cheese references, with one striking finding: 76% of PDO appellation cheeses are naturally low in lactose. Raclette, tartiflette and fondue become accessible again, and the article also covers the financial angle, why pay 26 euros a kilo for "lactose-free" gouda.

Food in Action, a media outlet for nutrition professionals, presents the book and the app through the lens of broadening the food repertoire rather than restricting it, featuring dietitians Anne-Charlotte Jalhay and Pauline Van Ouytsel, who validated the medical content.

On air, Gauthier was a guest on the show "Il y a du Neuf" on BX1 and on BXFM, an opportunity to present the book, the app and the project's mission to a broad Brussels audience. The Composé podcast continues these conversations in a long-form format.

Finally, Lactose.help was presented at Maker Faire Brussels, the gathering for makers, where visitors could scan products live and discover the Lacto-Score system.

Enjoy the read, and the listen.
